Chris Manning is a graduate of Methodist University in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in business, and a concentration in marketing. He worked a short time for companies such as Ready Mixed Concrete and Highland Lumber before stepping out into his own business endeavors of residential development in 2000. Since that time, he has built in North Carolina and South Carolina and is a standing member of the Home Builders Association of North Carolina. Glasgow Village
Glasgow Village is a Chris Manning new home community in Murrells Inlet within the International Golf Club of Myrtle Beach located between Highway 707 and Highway 17 just off of McDowell Shortcut Road. There will be a total of 44 single-family homes in Glasgow Village, with golf course, wooded and lakefront sites. Homes first started to sell in Glasgow Village in February of 2024 and have sold from the $400’s to the $600’s. The HOA in Glasgow Village is only around $100 per month. Home plans being offered in Glasgow Village include the Geneva (from 1,760 square feet to 2,606 square feet), The Vienna (from 1,833 square feet to 2,718 square feet), and The Madrid at 3,014 square feet. Glasgow Village is nestled between Hole # 1 and Holes #10 and is within walking distance from the clubhouse, where you can enjoy a round of golf, dinner, or one of the many special events the community holds. Glasgow Village homeowners will also have ready-to-use amenities such as library, junior Olympic pool, playground, workout room, and an amenities center.

Hudson Creek at Palmetto Harbor
Hudson Creek at Palmetto Harbor is a new home community in the planning stages that is coming soon to North Myrtle Beach. The new home community of Hudson Creek at Palmetto Harbor in North Myrtle Beach is conveniently located close to the Intracoastal Waterway and adjacent to the Grand Strand Airport. The Grand Strand Airport is primarily used for general aviation, i.e. private planes, charters, and corporate flights rather than commercial flights. The current plans for Hudson Creek at Palmetto Harbor are to take seven existing lots on a combined 8.58 acres and create a new subdivision, named Hudson Creek at Palmetto Harbor, that would consist of 33 lots and 1.72 acres of open space.

The Bluffs at Palmetto Harbor
The Bluffs at Palmetto Harbor is a Chris Manning new home community that is conveniently located along the Intracoastal Waterway and is nestled between Palmetto Harbor and Kingswood on the Waterway. Del Webb North Myrtle Beach (Pulte) is the community adjacent to The Bluffs at Palmetto Harbor on the south side. The new home community of The Bluffs at Palmetto Harbor will be developed on an approximate 13.2 acre parcel. Preliminary plans from Chris Manning, the builder that was also involved with the neighboring Palmetto Harbor, is showing 41 residential lots. Four of the lots in The Bluffs at Palmetto Harbor will be adjacent to the Intracoastal Waterway. The Bluffs at Palmetto Harbor is zoned Single-Family Residential Low-Medium (R-1A) - requiring a minimum single-family dwelling lot area of 7,500 square feet.

River Oaks Golf Course – North Cove
Chris Manning Communities and Mungo Homes are partnering on the residential development for North Cove. Land development is well underway at North Cove where Mungo Homes will be the home builder. Mungo Homes’ exciting new community coming to the highly desirable River Oaks Drive corridor in Carolina Forest. As of November 2025, land development on the southeast side of River Oaks Drive is well underway. Within these seven parcels of land, preliminary plans are for Mungo Homes to be developing approximately 220 single-family homes (parcels 4 and 5 – totaling approximately 67.5 acres) in the new home community of North Cove. Mungo Homes has not yet announced timing or pricing for the single-family homes in North Cove.

River Oaks Golf Course – Fox and Otter
The Fox and Otter River Oaks Golf Club courses closed at the end of November 2025. The land is currently owned by Chris Manning, who is actively collaborating with other builders and developers on plans for the area. As of December 2025, no additional plans for this area have been announced.
