Riverwood at Sherwood Forest is a new home community coming soon to Conway. The total project area of Riverwood at Sherwood Forest is 67.93 acres. The property is located just north of downtown Conway and north-adjacent to the existing Sherwood Forest and Country Club Estates subdivisions - just east of Highway 701.
The existing Sherwood Forest in Conway is one of the area's more established residential neighborhoods. Developed primarily between the 1950s and 1970s, the existing Sherwood Forest features mature trees, larger lots, and traditional ranch and brick homes that give the community a well-established character. Unlike many of Conway's newer subdivisions, Sherwood Forest does not have a homeowners association, making it appealing to buyers seeking fewer restrictions.
F & R Development purchased the property that is now home to Riverwood at Sherwood Forest from Country Club Properties in November 2024. Since then, Riverwood at Sherwood Forest has progressed rapidly, with land development now complete and construction underway on the first model homes and inventory (spec) homes, bringing the neighborhood one step closer to its sales launch.
Beverly Homes is the builder of the new single-family home community at Riverwood at Sherwood Forest in Conway, SC.
Preliminary plans approved by Horry County call for approximately 147 single-family homes, with the initial phase consisting of 85 homes.
Riverwood at Sherwood Forest will feature a variety of 3, 4, and 5-bedroom floor plans, including homes with both 2-car and 3-car garages. Planned community amenities in Riverwood at Sherwood Forest include a swimming pool and cabana, providing residents with opportunities to relax and enjoy the neighborhood.
Like its other new home communities throughout the Grand Strand by Beverly Homes, buyers will have the ability to customize many aspects of their homes in Riverwood at Sherwood Forest, allowing for a more personalized homebuilding experience.
As of July 2026, Beverly Homes has not yet announced the specific floor plans, home sizes, or pricing for Riverwood at Sherwood Forest, with additional details expected as the community moves closer to its sales launch.
