Avery Woods is a new-home community of single-family homes in Longs, South Carolina, located just east of the Highway 22 interchange and off Highway 90. The community is approximately one mile from Highway 22, providing convenient access to Myrtle Beach and the shopping, restaurants, entertainment and other attractions throughout the Grand Strand. Avery Woods is also a natural-gas community.

The community is planned for a total of 141 single-family homes and is being developed in three phases. Great Southern Homes was the original builder at Avery Woods, closing on the first homes in the community in late December 2022. The first phase contained 56 homes and was completed in early 2026. The second phase, consisting of 53 homes, opened in early 2026, while the final phase is planned for 32 homes.

During Great Southern Homes' time in Avery Woods, homes sold at prices ranging from approximately $271,000 to $423,000, with an average selling price of approximately $332,000. The community's homes have included three-, four- and five-bedroom designs, giving Avery Woods a range of options for buyers looking for different amounts of living space.

Stanley Martin Homes' New Floor Plans at Avery Woods

Avery Woods is now entering a new phase with Stanley Martin Homes, which has introduced a substantially different collection of floor plans for the community. The current lineup consists of five plans ranging from 1,725 to 2,319 square feet. These floor plans are new to Avery Woods under Stanley Martin Homes and represent a significant change from the home designs previously offered by Great Southern Homes.

The Quentin offers 1,725 square feet of living space, making it the smallest of Stanley Martin's current Avery Woods floor plans. The plan provides an option for buyers who want a newly constructed single-family home in a more compact size while still having the benefit of a dedicated home design within the community's new Stanley Martin lineup.

The Easton offers 1,897 square feet and gives buyers another option just below the 2,000-square-foot mark. Its size places it between the Quentin and the larger Stanley Martin plans, providing an additional choice for buyers who want more living space than the community's smallest plan without moving into the 2,300-square-foot range.

The Wallace, at 1,900 square feet, is nearly identical in overall size to the Easton but is a separate floor plan, giving buyers another design to consider within the same general square-footage range. The addition of both the Easton and Wallace gives Avery Woods two distinct options around 1,900 square feet rather than relying on a single plan at this size.

The Summit expands the available living space to 2,300 square feet, providing one of the larger options in the current Avery Woods collection. The plan adds approximately 575 square feet compared with the Quentin, giving buyers looking for a larger home another choice within Stanley Martin's new lineup.

The Garland is currently the largest of the five plans at 2,319 square feet. It provides slightly more living space than the Summit and represents the upper end of Stanley Martin's current Avery Woods collection. Together, the Summit and Garland give buyers two choices at approximately 2,300 square feet.

With the introduction of the Quentin, Easton, Wallace, Summit and Garland, Stanley Martin Homes has established a new floor-plan collection at Avery Woods, spanning 1,725 to 2,319 square feet. Combined with the community's Longs location, proximity to Highway 22 and Myrtle Beach, natural-gas infrastructure and planned 141 homes, the updated lineup marks a new stage in the development of Avery Woods as the community moves forward with Stanley Martin Homes.
