The new home community of Kingston Preserve at Brookhaven is located just west of downtown Conway, directly off Highway 378 with convenient access to Highway 501.  The community is also closely tied to the much larger Brookhaven master planned development proposed directly across Highway 378, making Kingston Preserve an important part of the growing development activity along this section of the Highway 378 corridor.

While Kingston Preserve at Brookhaven is being developed as its own community, the “Brookhaven” name reflects its connection to the larger Brookhaven development area planned on the opposite side of Highway 378.  Together, these projects represent significant new residential development in an area that is becoming an increasingly important growth corridor west of downtown Conway.

The master planned community of Kingston Preserve will feature a total of 407 single-family homes on an approximately 187.88-acre parcel of land and will be developed as a conservation subdivision.
Kingston Preserve will be the second conservation subdivision in Conway, following the Collins Jollie master planned community, which includes communities such as Westwood Reserve, Kingston Oaks and Maple Grove.

A conservation subdivision is designed to preserve a significant portion of a development site as common open space while allowing homes to be clustered on the remaining buildable land. Under the conservation subdivision requirements, a minimum of 30% of the net buildable area must remain undeveloped and be used for conservation and recreational purposes.

At Kingston Preserve, more than 44 acres are planned to be preserved in perpetuity for ecological and recreational purposes.  This preserved land will become an important part of the overall character of the community, providing residents with open space and areas for outdoor enjoyment while also protecting portions of the property's natural landscape.

Kingston Preserve at Brookhaven is the first phase of the Kingston Preserve development and will include 134 single-family homes being built by D. R. Horton.

D. R. Horton's Kingston Preserve at Brookhaven will offer an appealing collection of planned community amenities.  Future plans include a pool and pool house, providing residents with a place to relax, gather with neighbors and enjoy the South Carolina sunshine. Additional amenities are planned, including pickleball courts and scenic sidewalks designed to encourage outdoor recreation, morning walks and evening strolls throughout the community.

Homebuyers will have a choice of homes from both D. R. Horton's Express Series and Tradition Series.  Floorplans will include both single-story and two-story designs, with spacious living areas, modern finishes and flexible layouts designed for today's homeowners.

The Larger Brookhaven Development Across Highway 378

The connection between Kingston Preserve and Brookhaven becomes particularly interesting when looking at what is being proposed directly across Highway 378.
Brookhaven is the current name of a large master planned development proposed near the intersection of Juniper Bay Road and Highway 378. The proposed Brookhaven development encompasses approximately 446 acres and could ultimately include more than 1,000 residential homes, along with a city park, stormwater ponds and commercial uses.

The larger Brookhaven project is being proposed as a conservation subdivision, similar to Kingston Preserve, with plans calling for a significant portion of the property to remain as common open space by clustering residential development and minimizing individual lot sizes.
