News Title: Chesapeake Homes has just released the Villas at Coastal Club of the Carolinas in Calabash, NC.
Coastal Club of the Carolinas is a new home community in Calabash, NC. This new home community is just across the South Carolina/North Carolina border and just minutes from Cherry Beach and Sunset Beach.
The new home community of Coastal Club of the Carolinas is being developed on the property that used to be the Farmstead Golf Links. The Farmstead Golf Links was a distinctive course that operated from 2001 until its closure in October of 2021. The course was designed by Willard Byrd, with enhancements by David Johnson, and was most notable for its unique layout that crossed the North Carolina–South Carolina border multiple times, culminating in a remarkable 767-yard par-6 18th hole—one of the longest in the world. Years before, this property was the historic McLamb estate, a family with deep roots in Brunswick County dating back to the 1700s.
Close by to the Coastal Club of the Carolinas is another golf course – the Meadowlands Golf Club - a scenic and inviting 18-hole course designed by Willard Byrd that first opened in 1997.
The master planned community of Coastal Club of the Carolinas was first approved back in May of 2022 for 774 total units, including 630 single-family homes and 144 semi-attached (duplexes) on a parcel of land that is 311.29 acres in Brunswick County.
The amenities at Coastal Club of the Carolinas include a resort-style swimming pool, pickleball courts, Bocce ball courts, firepits, playground, veterans memorial, community garden, picnic grounds and lush green spaces.
Chesapeake Homes is building in Coastal Club at the Carolinas.
Homes first sold Coastal Club at the Carolinas in February of 2025.
